A brief history of Tangegaard
Tangegaard was probably sold on the free market in 1742, by King Christian 6th.
The Brorson family was probably the oldest family to own the farm. For generations they were named either Niels Hansen or Hans Nielsen.
The current owner of the farm bought it in 1981.
Niels Hansen Brorsen was followed by his son Hans Nielsen Brorsen, who died around 1847. After that his widow Bodil Margrethe, born Jepsen, took over the farm. In 1883 she conveyed it to her son, Ebbe Hansen Nielsen Brorsen.
The bank Sparekassen for Ribe By og Omegn took over the farm, which in 1902 was sold to the former owner of Hotel Kikkenborg in Bramming, near Esbjerg.
